01 — About

Who I am

I'm a Senior Software Engineer based in Coppell, TX, with over a decade of experience designing, building, and modernizing enterprise systems in C# across .NET Framework, .NET Core, and the latest .NET releases.

My deep experience spans ASP.NET Web API, EF Core / Dapper, CQRS, and WCF, backed by SQL Server, on both Windows (WPF, Windows Services) and web platforms. Lately my focus has been cloud-native .NET workloads on Azure — AKS, Azure SQL, Key Vault, and Azure DevOps — plus event-driven architectures built on Kafka.

I'm comfortable owning a service end to end: API design, performance tuning, test coverage, and CI/CD. I also lead the adoption of AI-assisted development workflows, integrating tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Devin CLI to speed up delivery across the team.

Where I've worked

Senior Product Software Engineer (C# .NET)

Mar 2023 – Present

Wolters Kluwer · Coppell, TX

  • Designed RESTful APIs in C# / .NET Core using the CQRS pattern with EF Core and Dapper, exposing high-throughput internal services over gRPC.
  • Led the enterprise upgrade from .NET 8 to .NET 10, rolling out across services with minimal downtime.
  • Improved API performance by 35% via caching, SQL tuning, and profiling; built an event-driven architecture decoupling services with Kafka topics.
  • Achieved 85% code coverage with NUnit / MSTest while maintaining CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps.
  • Adopted AI coding assistants (Copilot, Claude, Devin CLI) for code generation, refactoring, and PR review across the team.

Senior Software Engineer (C# .NET)

Oct 2022 – Mar 2023

Deloitte — PA State Dept. of Human Services · Remote

  • Refactored monolithic legacy systems into domain-driven microservices with .NET Core Web APIs and an Angular SPA.
  • Applied CQRS to separate read/write and built stateless services supporting horizontal scaling and cloud-native deployment.
  • Improved application load time by 30% via synthetic monitoring, caching, and Angular lazy loading.
  • Evaluated native AOT compilation on .NET 8 to trim startup time and memory footprint in constrained environments.

Senior Software Engineer (C# .NET)

Aug 2019 – Oct 2022

Axxess — Healthcare Software · Dallas, TX

  • Built scheduling, billing, and claims systems used by millions of patients; rewrote legacy VB.NET modules into C# microservices on .NET Core and Angular.
  • Used Kafka producers/consumers to decouple services and handle high message volumes; built physician portals with PDF generation.
  • Deployed to AKS with UAMI authentication, managing secrets via Azure Key Vault and connecting to Azure SQL.
  • Helped redesign modules to meet FHIR standards while mentoring junior developers.

Application Programmer II (C# .NET)

May 2017 – Aug 2019

LA State Dept. of Culture, Recreation & Tourism · Baton Rouge, LA

  • Developed C# / .NET Core applications and refactored legacy .NET Framework modules for maintainability.
  • Built and supported Windows applications and Windows Services; optimized SQL queries and data access.
  • Generated monthly usage analytics with SSRS and built automated regression tests with Selenium and MSTest.

Junior Software Engineer

May 2014 – Nov 2015

Accolite — IT Services · Hyderabad, India

  • Built and tested .NET APIs and front ends in C#, supporting CRUD operations, EF queries, and bug fixes.
  • Gained hands-on experience with the Agile lifecycle — sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Things I've built

Cricket Stats Web API

A RESTful Web API in C# / .NET Core serving historical cricket statistics — player records, match outcomes, and team performance — built to support real-world API teaching scenarios for new graduates.

  • Structured routing, model validation, filtering, sorting, and error handling with EF Core.
  • Designed for extensibility using clean architecture and the repository pattern.
  • Used in live mentoring sessions to teach API fundamentals and backend engineering.
